Bobby's first Top Ten hit! Bobby wrote the song in 45 minutes and it reached the Top Ten in the middle of the British music invasion!

"The Cowboy & the Lady"

Bobby later re-wrote the lyrics for Dolly Parton to record. It was also recorded by John Denver, Brenda Lee and others.

"Broomstick Cowboy"

Bobby wrote this controversial song about the prospect of his six month-old son growing up and having to go to war. It became a favorite among American soldiers during the war.

"It's Too Late"

Bobby wrote this song backstage at American Bandstand. He would later perform the hit on that very show.

"Autumn of My Life"

Many listeners thought the father was dying in this song but Bobby wrote it about divorce.

"Hello, Summertime"

"This was originally a Coca Cola commercial. It was so popular that Bobby re-wrote it and it became a huge hit!

A big hit in 1969, this Goldsboro-penned classic became the closing theme song on his hit television series in the seventies!

One of Bobby's favorite compositions. It has been used by many children's fund-raising organizations and Bobby even featured it on his children's television series, "The Swamp Critters of Lost Lagoon."

"Little Green Apples"

Bobby's classic recording of "Little Green Apples" was voted the best recording of the song. It was featured in the "Honey" album and was writer Bobby Russell's favorite version.

"If You've Got a Heart"

Recorded in 1965, this was side one of a two-sided hit, coupled with another Goldsboro-written song, "If You Wait for Love."

"Whenever He Holds You"

This was Bobby's 1964 follow-up hit to "See the Funny Little Clown."

"A Butterfly for Bucky"

Bobby received a long poem from a writer. When Bobby found that the poem was based on a true story, he got permission from the poet to compose a song from the poem. The result was this amazing recording. It was also the inspiration for one of Bobby's most popular oil paintings of the same name.

From the 1976 Burt Reynolds movie, "Gator." Burt asked Bobby to write and perform this song for the movie.
